I downloaded a video, and I get a picture but no sound. Quicktime, Divx and Windows Media all do the same thing, no sound. Divx tells me this though:
This file contains the following type of data:
Audio data: tag 8192
It's driving me nuts, anyone who can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
Try Xvid, or 3ivx. A google search on each should lead you to the proper page. Either that, or try upgrading DivX to the latest version (5.05 or so now?) Also, make sure that your WMP codecs are all up to date -- I know, I didn't wanna install WMP9 either but it had to be done to watch some clips.
search for Tsunami Filter Pack... it had the same problem with some Trigun episodes a while pack, and that fixed it

The Tsunami pack worked. I had to be selective in what codecs i installed, I put in too many and it fucked things up, but I uninsttalled and got it right on the second time. Thanks for the help guys!
