Well, I think they only use the premise of the film, with 7 Samurai come together to fight gang of bandits, and apply it to the futuristic setting. The screens look ok, and the game might turn out good, who knows.

No, this shit really isn't acceptable at all. This is taking a huge shit on one of the finest films ever made. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.Quote:

Magnificent Seven Ultimate Battle NEO
Well, If it was used for a Western Themed game - they probably would. But since Samurai is a cool new theme, they bought the Seven Samurai licence and name instead.
Cool
New
Theme?
Huh?
In other news, Acclaim has announced Citizen Kane: Xtreme BMXXX Fury starring Bam Margera. Acclaim is currently in talks to have Carrot Top, Shaquille O'Neal and Space Micheal Jackson as hidden unlockable characters.

The Graduate: Championship Edition
I couldnt care less what games are based on as long as the game is good. I belive everything should be judged on its own merits..This game should be the designers interpetation and not an adaptation...same goes for movies and books..
If they wanted this game judged on its own merits, they wouldn't have made a licensed game. It is that simple.

It's being made by Dimps. Have they ever made an original franchise? Only games I know by them are working on existing franchises, anime, etc.
