Chill out. Release dates aren't all that important when you aren't going to get the game for another 3 or 6 months.
Actually, Nintendo announced that MK:DD will be released 12/14.
Also, Iwata came out and stated on MSNBC that they would make an announcement regarding free online play "in the very near future." If this isn't a 180 on Nintendo's secretive past, I don't know what is.
Maybe they held off from pushing it because they plan to include the modem/broadband adapter with the game? Remember the 64 expansion pack came out separately and then they included it with Donkey Kong 64. Maybe they are looking at doing this for MK:DD or F-Zero GX. Before you write this off, remember that Iwata said he wants to make it easy for gamers to get online. How much easier than buying the game with the adapter packaged in?
Pack in eh? hmm. You may be on to something :) Nintendo likes to package stuff with their games (rumble pack with starfox 64, transfer pack for pokemon stadium, ram pack w/donkey kong 64, SNES mouse w/mario paint) I just might have to hold off on getting that BBA now :) Then again its nintendo, so who knows ;)

1. 90% of the time its not just random dates specially with the nintendo releases, 90% of the time it comes from Nintendo
companies tell Gamestop their tentative release dates for games and thats what gets put in the computer
and Konami themselfs said Snake Eater will be a fall 2004 release Well what the fuck do you think November is
