What do you mean wtf? I said you stand by KI having responsive controls and I satnd by it having shitty controls. No matter what we say it's not going to make a difference unless it's in court. Ask anyone that plays fighting games competitively how big the difference is between 30fps and 60fps for fighting games. They will all tell you that it makes a HUGE difference.Quote:

Like I said, the only thing you can claim that Soul blade does better than SC are intangibles. You wouldn't be able to put up a argument for it being better. The only two things you might be able to use would be Soul Blade having the better intro and a weapons master mode. If you like playing fighting games by yourself, than Soul Blade might be more fun because of the weapon master mode. If that's the case then you should just play an RPG or Dyanasty Warriors, not a fighting game.
I didn't say that we should take it to court. I just said if we MAGICALLY did somehow have to bring our argument to court, you would probably lose. What's so absurd about comparing video games to something that happens in real life. People do it all the time. I think the most absurd thing I have ever heard on a message board is that playing video games is better than sex. What I said was nothing worse than something like " If Sony was McDonalds, then Nintendo would be Burger King."
I've never said that Soul Blade was better than SC, just that I HAD MORE FUN WITH IT. There is a difference.
As for the FPS thing, again, to me, it doesn't make a HUGE difference. If it's got 60 FPS, whoop-dee-doo, odds are, in the heat of battle, I won't be able to tell the difference anyway.

My opinion about Donkey Kong Country is that its an excellent game. It always has been an excellent platformer and it always will be. I never played the game for the graphics. They didn't wow me then and they don't wow me now. I played DKC for the great platforming gameplay. The tree top village areas were outstanding. Jumping from the tires to barrels and back again was a blast! All the mine cart stages were wonderfully fast paced and fun. When I read in the EGM that the runaway minecart stages and barrel blasting were "unfun themes" I just about died. DKC was and still is one of the better platformers of the 16 bit era. Comparing DKC to Super Mario World, I have to say that Super Mario World was complete crap because it didn't do anything half as good as Super Mario Brothers 3...it just looked a little prettier. I still don't understand why Super Mario World always gets so much praise. At least Donkey Kong Country had fun platforming intensive levels that even challenged the player at a couple moments.
Also, I think DKC has aged gracefully. I still pull it out and play it every once in a while. Its always a blast to play because its a no nonsense side scrolling platformer. I couldn't ask for anything better than that in this day and age of 3-D games that dare to call themselves "platformers"....speaking of which...
Another thing in CJ's review in EGM that made me laugh was that he called DKC a "collect-a-thon". How the hell is DKC considered a collect-a-thon? Nobody in EGM complains about how almost EVERY SINGLE 3-D platformer ever made is nothing but a collect-a-thon treasure hunt, but all of a sudden DKC is a collect-a-thon!!!!! I call BULLSHIT there! Sure you can spell out the word K-O-N-G and collect animal coins, but in no way is it required to move on to the next level. It was just extra stuff...you can not call a game a collect-a-thon if it doesn't force you to collect anything. That just seems like bullshit to me.
I don't have much else to say...just I wish everyone around here would stop talking shit about people just because they state an opinion about a game. The fact that somebody actually takes the time to post a comment is what actually keeps message boards alive. It would be pretty boring if nobody was posting opinions. The more opinions the better, because it sparks interesting conversations. You shouldn't try to alienate people just because you don't like there opinion. Calling people a moron or idiot just because you don't like the persons post is just uncalled for. I like this board. I have liked this board and browsed around ever since I switched over from browsing at Gamego from day one. I didn't start posting until recently because I didn't like all the personal attacks I always see. I respect everyone here. You all have the most intellegent opinions on videogames. I can't find more intellegent and insightful opinions anywhere else. However, it disappoints me (and pisses me off) when people waste forum space to say stupid shit like Gunvalkyrie for life is a moron. Everybody should respect everyones opinons. If you don't like an opinion, don't make a personal attack because its a waste of time, a waste of the space, and a waste of what could have been an intellegent comment. Besides, GunValkyrie4life is really cool...its not like any of YOU know him personally anyway. Therefore, keep your personal opinions about somebody to yourself and I will do the same. I don't want to hear what you think about somebody because I don't care. I am here to talk about games not people. This message board shouldn't be seen as some kind of popularity contest....
