Just when I think it's time for me to leave this board for good I realise there are just enough people who aren't arrogant snobs and can admit that a game that isn't an old RPG is good, that I stay. Why are so many people on this board so full of themselves? I find it funny especially when so many of you try and commune on so many obscure titles that none of you have ever heard of the obscure title that the others have and visa versa. This board needs to take the stick out, seriously. The purpose of these boards should be to commune about commanalities and not try so hard to never admit that for once you actually smiled and had a good time. Just an opinion but if you think you know anything about games and had no fun at all with DKC you have no heart and are simply lost.
Every valid thing you said in that post was debunked the instant I saw "if you think you know anything about games and had no fun at all with DKC you have no heart and are simply lost."
Seems like there are more than a few people (myself included) who think rather highly of DKC.
I wouldn't concern yourself with what others think of the game (you will not change anyone's mind), just stand behind your opinion.
Maybe some of these DKC haters have an abnormal fear of Monkeys. :D

DKC wasn't that bad.. actually, the design was awful, but the graphics and music were nice, even today..
the core game was average, and it's not really among the best platformers on the SNES..

See, now THAT is something I can understand. Cha-ching is about the only answer...... some kid somewhere will be buying this, I for one will pass. However I can never pass up defending the Original on the SNES:)

If it still feels too big, go back to the TNL trainer stick you got when you created your account.
That's exactly where I stand. I'm actually playing through DKC2 now on my SNES. The Carnival levels are fun :)Quote:
