This is one of the few DC games I didn't buy when it was still in stores.
I heard it isn't great but is it worth buying for gun game fans?

Well, I'm not a huge gun game fan and I had quite a bit of fun with it. I'd say it's worth about $15-$20.
I thought about buying it as well, but since niether HOTD2, or Confidential Mission work well with my 2 light guns, I'm more than hesitant in purchasing another gun game on the DC. Why could'nt Sega just release an official lightgun and save the fans the headaches.:(
Neo, if you've got Virtua Cop 2, HOTD 2, and Confidential Mission, might as well pick up Death Crimson OX.
It's a fun diversion, nothing ground breaking, but it's flaws can be overlooked. Definately worth the 10-15 it's going for these days.
I never bought it. However, if it is ANYTHING at all like the previous 2 games in the series, I would stay far away from it. They are some of the worst games ever made. I've heard OX is better, but judging from the previous games, that isn't saying much.
Is this from actually playing the previous two, or just spitting out what everyone else has said over the years? Every review I read for OX bashed the other two first, but OX was a bit enjoyable on it's own.Quote:

Plus, it's only ten bucks, and it's another reason for owning a light gun.
I doubt it'll ever hit the US but Ecole (the developer) is putting out a PS2 version soon. I ignored it on the basis that Sammy bothered to give us a niche gun game and left GGX in Japan. *-neo
Actually playing them. I spent a little time with the first game, but I actually own the horror that is Death Crimson 2. I would never say anything, negative or positive, about a game I had not played. As for it being "only $10", that $10 could go toward a better game. But I have not played OX, so maybe it is worth the $10. I don't know. Like I said, after playing the first two, I have no desire to find out.Quote:

Death Crimson 2 is so bad it's actually fun. It's just so damn goofy that I got at least $10 worth of laughs from it and it had a cool feature where you could see more of the screen while shooting by moving the analogue stick around. Sadly, they took that feature out of OX.
For OX, you could be playing HotD2 so why bother? It's an okay game, but really nothing memorable.
I know US HOTD2 is locked out, but might other American DC light gun games work with the import gun?Quote:
