Threads like these are why i ban some people from IRC.
Relgious discussions brings out too many assholes to the table who won't back down from their arguement/beliefs because they will try to drive home the point of them being right now matter how much either side won't listen or care about it....
Any kind of discussion does that, it's just easier to be hard on the relegious guys.Quote:

It's pretty simple. If you want people like us to shut up. Then simply don't respond when we "get all Jesus on ya". The only time I ever say anything on the matter is when people say things about my faith that are obviously wrong or are asking a question.
I would never impose my beliefs on anyone, but if people broach the subject they've got no right to complain when my zealotry takes over. With that said I'm done here and will return to stealth mode.

Ah yes. Joking about Religon. I'm sorry but I didn't think people enjoy having their beliefs being mocked. If that's the case then wouldn't it stand to reason that those who try to make their beliefs understood wouldn't make such crass jokes about it?Quote:

Kinda like this thread was a joke and yet it got curtailed into an arguement over personal beliefs and relgious aspects. The thread author himself said he wasn't making a stab at religion but at the terrible work of the webpage. Of course that wasn't accepted and thus Master of 7s says.
And thus the circle starts all over again & again & again. People will complain about anything they feel justifed to complain about. Religion is only another aspect of differences of opinion for people to complain about.Quote:

And thus in most cases with relgious discussions, threads get ugly and fights ensue and then of course it gets mean, rude or downright personal on both sides of the fence.
Personally not discussing religion on the whole would be better for both sides because it's going to ignite another pointless flame war.
You see where I'm getting at with this?
Oh and one final thing. As Much as I would enjoy ignoring these threads, I can't. It's one of those things as a mod that i have to do weather I like it or not. Meaning that if there is a problem then we as mods have to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.
Ignoring a problem won't make it go away...
