I understand completely. I just think our beliefs are incompatible.

I, for instance, believe that God did not 'create' Jesus or the Holy Spirit. They are simply a part of him - all three are God, always will be God and, most importantly, always have been God. In which case your theory cannot possibly fit in with my beliefs.

I believe in an all-loving God. I believe that he loves each and every one of us because we are his children. As the Father of everything he is a good parent - has to be - and so it doesn't make sense that he would do anything to harm his own creation. If God is truly just, I don't see how he can justify sending anybody to Hell, because (as the Eternal Night is portrayed), no deed on earth is that bad.

So, yes I understand. I just don't agree. I just hope that you can say the same about my beliefs. :)

Ok, I have a question. Where in the Bible does the hellfire punishment get into play? Im pretty sure that the "Wages of sin are death". Meaning that those who are not judged to be worthy will simply not get eternal life. I hardly think that those who have a crummy heart will need to be punished eternaly with the for the things that they have done for about 80 or so years

Yes, yes, of course. I don't always agree with everyone in the Family. It's natural.:)

I just believe that while all are creations of God we are not all His children. Only those that are through the spirit of adoption which we receive through our acceptance of Christ Jesus. As was quoted before, if we are not posessed by His Spirit, we are not His.

To be perfectly blunt, the only people who can truly call themselves children of God are the Jews. They are God's chosen not us. His covenants and promises were made with and to them not us. We Gentiles are only getting in because God was feeling merciful (Thank God for that.:sweat: ).

Thrown out into the darkness where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

There's also talk of the eternal fire, particualrly with regard to the 'chaff' being burnt.

Master... fair enough, if it's what you believe. :) I suppose the best-case scenario is everything being a kind of paradise in which, somehow, everyone's beliefs are fulfilled. Which won't happen. Seems a bit unfair, really. 'Cause if you're right then I go to hell. If I'm right you get entry into the Eternal Paradise regardless. :blank:

It isn't just having a crummy heart. It's the sin that an idividual accumulates though evil actions that judges them and drags their soul into the depths of Sheol. More than that, however, in order to get into Heaven in the first place a persons name MUST be found in the Lamb's Book of Life. There is no leeway on this. This is an absolute.

"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was no place found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works.
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelations 20:11-15

Living a good life isn't good enough. Your name MUST be found in the Book of Life or you can just forget about getting in.

The White Throne Judgement is reserved for the unrighteous dead BTW. AFTER the millenial reign and the final rebellion of satan against the saints of God. The dead in Christ will receive their judgement at the time of the Rapture.

But where does it say that they will be consumed by fire forever?

Hmm....ya know what. I reread Revelations and I realize that it only says that the devil, the beast and the false prophet will suffer eternal torment in the lake of fire. And that those not found in the Book of Life are merely cast into the lake of fire. I take this to mean they share the same fate as the devil and his angels (eternal punishment) but since it isn't specified in the text, maybe my assumption is wrong. I doubt it though.
