Anyone watching G4 on Cable TV...?

I dug deep within the abyss of the internet to find this story on Excites home page.
G4 has been on the air for one year, and apparently is available for 11 million comcast cable watchers.
I bet they only cover high profile, mainstream games, but who knows...?

I imagine its difficult to keep fresh content, filling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week has got to be tough. I'm sure its heavy on the repeats.

So does anyone get this channel, whats it like...?

The channel sucks.

The only good thing I can say about G4 is that Bahn, Andrew, Ted and I sat behind the two hot chicks from G4TV.com at the Nokia press conference last month.

Starcade is the only reason to watch.

The search function is your friend. That said, I've only watched it a few times and it's about what I'd expect of a cable channel devoted to videogames -- it sparks minimal interest because it's devoted to your hobby, and that's about it.

I caught the program "Blister" the other day, and they were showing footage of Final Fantasy Origins, and when they started to show the clip of FF2, the host (I forgot his name) said something to the effect of

"You go on the adventure with the heroes Cecil, Tellah, and Rosa".

Of course they were on FF4JP (FF2US), not FF2JP.

We don't get G4-TV down here, but after reading these posts, it sounds like I'm not missing much. My husband and I watch X-Play on Tech TV, and that's pretty silly in and of itself. I was hoping that G4TV would've been better than that, but I guess not. :(

Cineamatech is probably the best show on the channel. They show game footage and cinemas from all kinds of games, not just mainstream games.

Maybe there are new impressions since the last thread, perhaps there are new members to TNL who haven't seen these prior threads. Perhaps I wanted another thread on G4.
