burg, it is commonly accepted that ratings should be on a scale of 1 to 10, not 1 to 20. :pQuote:

all great games, but nothing special. like i said, these games would all get an 8-9 from me.
and what the fuck does Nintendo have to do with this? how is it that the "Treasure isn't Nintendo and i love them for that" argument always gets brought up? it's irrelevant.
Huh? Shouldn't all great games be considered special in some way? You ranking them as 8-9 just goes to show how confused you really are about what you're saying. NO GAME DESERVES A 10, PERIOD. That means that the game has reached perfection with absolutely no room for improvement. I refuse to give any game in existence a 10 based off that alone.Quote:

I think it's your fanboyism towards Nintendo and/or Namco and how blindly you've defended them while not applying your same "logic" (used loosely here) that you do towards Treasure.Quote:

It would also be nice for you to actually speak your opinion about their game quality and/or track record when you've actually played every game they've made.
Mr. Furious, numerical rankings are subjective in nature. What one person deems a 9, another might deem a 6 or a 7. Due to this, I put absolutely no stock in numerical scores unless there is some textual and factual basis for them presented at or near the exact same time as the numerical score is handed out.
You're not understanding what I'm saying and are not telling me anything I don't already know. My point is that if anything is rated from 1-10, a 10 would most likely equate to perfect. I apply this logic to games and their reviews. It's a point system where points are added or substracted based off preferences. Having no reason to deduct points equals 100% perfection.Quote:

Lucas is stating that he'd give a "handful of their games" an 8-9 which by industry standard is an exceptional game and his usually highly recommended. What's ironic is his "handful" is more like half of their entire catalogue of games and probably more than that that he's actually played. I highly doubt he's played every game so to speak like he has is ignorant.
if those were the only Treasure games that i've played, i'd never call them hit-or-miss.
and i should've made myself more clear. i'd give their games an 8.0-9.0.
I never said they were the only games you've played but what I am saying is that you have not played every game they have made so to speak of their entire catalogue and provide opinions on it as a whole is ignorant.Quote:

The point is that people like Gutsman seem to hype Treasure up to god like status. I mean, his interest in Wario World increased just because he found out Treasure was making it? We have to assume he didn't care about Wario World at all, since if he did, he would have known this tiny little fact.Quote:

So all of a sudden, Wario World is on his "must buy" list, just because of Treasure. Mr_Furious is right in that people should just like games because of what they are.
And if that 3d collaberation you're talking about is Sin And Punishment, then not many others have played it, barring those who visit message board sites, and we're just a tiny tiny number in the world of gaming. Stretch Panic is more well known, and it's the worst 3d game on a next-gen system. Does Gutsman love it just because it says Treasure on it?
And yea, I own alot of Treasure's games, and I like them. But I'm not running out to splooge all over a game just because of a logo.
Not what you were saying when you decided they were a Nintendo exclusive party.Quote:
