You can't really farm grade. The whole point of the grade system is to reward actual skill instead of patience and repetition. You'll find plenty of level 4 exspheres anyway.

To get berskerker, turn the game on "Hard" fight 200 or so battles straight, and you should gain the title "Berserker." It really adds to +HP and STR as well as a few others, but the highest value in the game for STR and HP.

Yes, I discovered the real purpose of grade: Not exspheres, but rather the transfer of game data upon completion of the game.

I want to know where I stand though, I'm not up to the tower of salvation yet and I average between +.2 to +1.5, but every time I go negative I feel terrible.

Oh, and the best part of the game so far is the title screen/idle movie.

Well for me atleast, I didn't start getting the mega grade until I started a second quest, so I say you are doing fine. Use the grade + and you'll be hooked up. My favorite part of the game was getting all the dark weapons and destroying with them.

You mean the angel feather falling into the pond? I'll admit that that's a really awesome title screen to leave on in the house. :)

And your grade is pretty good, imo, I used to get around that field everytime also and ended up with enough Grade to buy some cool features for my 2nd play. There are some which are very handy for speeding up gameplay in a New Game +, like EXP X2 ,5 and even 10, keeping money, cooking skills, titles, etc.

Well, of course! Rockin' awesome title screens in your home is the only way to go.

I suppose I'm just frustrated by the stupidity of the party and the repetitiveness of the dialogue.

That and despite the crazy angel deal, they give up on world regeneration real quick. <shrug> rubs me the wrong way. Think I'll go finish morrowind and then play Star Ocean.

HD Remake Announced. Both games included.

Fantastic. I've played a bunch of Tales games and this was the only one I truly loathed.
