Try a Radeon 8500 LE with 128MB RAM. I've got an 8500 LE with 64MB RAM and the multiplayer demo runs great -- and on a 2nd gen (Thunderbird) Athlon 1400MHz chip with 256MB PC133 RAM. You can get a 64MB card for around $65 and the 128MB card for around $90.

But, does it require a PC with a power supply rated at 300 watts?

Never buy a PCI video card anymore. They are just the AGP cards with a PCI connector. A good PCI card has texture loading optimized for a PCI bus. A Voodoo 5 PCI, for example, will put all the textures into video RAM, but a PCI nVidia card won't because it acts like it can fall back on AGP's bandwidth (which obviously isn't there).

That depends on the amount of power used by the other components. If it doesn't work in your system, try getting a new case with a better power supply. You may also try fitting a regular power supply in your case -- it doesn't have to be specific to your computer, as long as it fits.

Bobvilla is technically correct, but the amount of money you want to spend to upgrade is the ultimate deciding factor. I recommend getting a new case with a 400W power supply and a new motherboard that can take your chip -- chances are you can't use the old motherboard because it's too integrated into the case. You can recycle your current components (chip, RAM, other stuff) or you may just want to build a brand new computer.

A new Tron 2.0 demo has been released, now with single-player levels and (according to Penny Arcade) far improved multiplayer. DOWNLOAD!

[edit] Apparently the above download site mismarked that file and it is not the new demo. I have changed the link as Gamespot is currently the only site I know of with a download available. Kinda sucks, as I was hoping to download it at a decent speed.

So, for those who haven't tried this yet: It does kick ass, multiplayer is better, and the disc rocks my shorts. There are gun-type weapons, but they aren't as fun as the disc and have no defense.
