no! this is another very bad idea! this draft needs to be completely automated. we submit our top picks (you should of already done this) and the computer goes through a lottery. that way we all have a fair chance of getting the players we want most.
this offline, picking one by one thing was a total waste. its going to take too long, and just isnt good. there are too many teams and too many players for one person to do this alone. hell, how do we know Wasabi isnt going to pick the best players for himself? im not suggesting that he's a bad guy or anything, but theres no way of knowing if he gives himself or someone else a little bit of an edge..
plus, this whole "in the third round give me the best RB availble" thing is crap as well. thats just more work for us.
just set it to an Auto-Draft. trust me. this is how we did it the last time (with NHL and the previous NFL seasons) and everything worked out great.
Um..I don't want to risk the chance of having a team with 8 WR's, two RB's and a really shitty QB, which could be the result of having Yahoo auto pick for me. Is my suggestion really that difficult? You list in order the positions of preference, and Wasabi will take the best avail. player per Yahoo or a site ranking of your choice on your behalf. The value of players in Fantasy Football is directly correllated to the positions they play, as evidenced by the priority placed on RB's this early in the draft. This method will ensure that you fill your priority positions with the best available talent. Random drafts will result in a lot of forced trades to occur.Quote:

I know what "trading" is, but I also know that a great WR still does not equal a good RB. So I may have 8 WR's, but the opportunity cost of missing out on a good RB and having to deal 3 WR's to get that one RB I could just have drafted is what I am trying to avoid.Quote:

First off, I want to apologize to everyone for such a problem with the draft issue. Last year we didn't have more than 10 teams I believe and I just used auto draft. I figured with most people not wanting a autodraft and wanting to try something new, I would go for the offline draft. Well, it was a huge disaster. I couldn't get ahold of many of the members and being forced to skip over them and giving them default player which defeats the purpose of an offline draft.
The Gooch's idea wasn't bad, a lot of work for me, yes, but I don't think everyone would have had a list to me by Thursday which again would defeat the purpose unless I had everyones list. I didn't want anyone to think I was playing favs either.
So I have come to the conclusion of the autodraft |) makes it easier for me , some would perfer it, but I don't know about any one else but I usually get stuck with a very medicore crew (I can't complain, it got me 2nd or 3rd place last year).
So, if I have dissapointed anyone, I'm sorry. I believe its in the best interest to do the auto draft because it seems like not everyone who joined was really dedicated enough to the offline draft which I can understand, we do live lifes.
I still hope we get past this problem and have a fun and succesfull season to the point where we can do it again next season.

Autodraft is fine by me as long as we get something together by the start of the season.

As far as the other draft went. I went ahead and put the player drafted on each team but if you get the player is what I am not sure of since I changed the draft type.
