Yeah, Im getting the feeling that this is really just a beat em up and not a fighting game after all. I know it was said that its a beat em up in the first post, but still, I figured it was some weird mistranslation. But looking at what seems to be only four characters(I can tell the second is the Nakster, the other two probably being Hanzo and Ukyo). This saddnes me a great deal.

Im gonna keep on hoping that Im wrong though. I want a new SamSho fighting game damnit. And have for the longest time. Whoa oh oh, for the longest time.

I dunno I think this game has potential. If they can make an interesting combo system a la Sengoku 3, keep enough diversity in the enemies and throw out the cheap bosses, it could get interesting IMO.

But since it came out of nowhere and will be on test so soon it's possible they went for a quick fix to make some money off the SS liscence. I hope I'm wrong though.

Sengoku is good and all, but it just doesnt feel all that great to me. If they can really put a fighting game feel into a beat em up, then I would be damn pleased. I just dont think that its something anyone will do any time soon.

Have you ever played Final Fight 3? You can do combos as long as a real fighting game. Like, jump in down+attack, attack, attack, attack, Forward, forward, attack, attack, QCF+attack to finish. That's one with guy.

Even then, the idea of a 2D BEAT 'EM UP still has me excited. A fighter would still be good, but it'll be interesting to see a new 2D beat 'em up for a console (instead of a handheld), when was the last time we saw one like that?

There are going to be 24 character total. It said so in the background of the splash page (in Japanese, of course), so I don't think it's a beat-em up.
