:) The third time was definately a charm.
GigaWing 2, I have a new respect for thee.
Guys, this game rocks. I take back whatever bad things I've said about it in the past. Playing for a high score and limiting myself to the default options (no continues !!) makes this game 100x cooler. Thanks for creating this great thread. I'm glad I gave this game another go.
Now, after a solid 75 minutes of playtime, I present my high score. It isn't much, but its enough to grant me 7th place !! Sorry Neo :)
Oh, and the 1 at the end is from restarting in Stage One.
89,415,866,220,361 - kabuki / Kart / RF / Stage 3

Good to hear! And welcome to the chart, too.
For my first salvo:
118,502,549,960,860 - BioMechanic/Chery/RL/Stage 4
Finally got my score high enough to post. I've heard people sneer at the huge scoring tally, but I think it's cool to watch those digits run! I'm sure I can top that score, though.
This game definitely gets a bad rap. As has already been mentioned, the game takes on a new identity when playing for score. I also loooove the aircraft designs.
I like using Ralugo the best, and I'm hoping to score eventually score high enough with him to post here too. Sometimes I wish this game had a proximity bonus like TLP.
You guys think RF is better for scoring purposes? I use RL almost exclusively, but perhaps I should learn more RF skills...I wanna add another comma to my score. :) Any suggestions?
edit: Mr. Mode, what about posting an even ten high scores???
Not sure if I understand what you mean exactly, but the chart will be limited to a top ten once we receive that many contributions, which shouldn't be long now. I actually wasn't expecting this level of interest, so it's a pleasant surprise to be seeing.Quote:

Yes, that's what I meant exactly.
It's nice indeed to see this level of activity - thanks for starting the thread!
Score Attack, Stage 3:
2,981,878,485,309,808,990 - sleeveboy / Chery
There's one spot in Stage 5 that's bothering me. The boss's pattern starts out predictably enough for about two cycles (turret fire, crescent moon cannon, turret fire, crescent moon cannon), allowing me to reflect and dodge easily.
But then it starts a spread-fire pattern after the first turret fire pattern that throws off my timing. Anyone have some tips? If I can get around this part, I might have a chance of beating this guy.
I think I know what you mean, though I'm not certain.Quote:

Start off the pattern by moving into one of the lower-hand corners (watch out for any segments of the boss that might still be alive and spitting needle bullets), then lead the trailing blue bullets across the very bottom of the screen. There will be a tight squeeze as the trailing bullets finally push you into the pink spread, but it's nothing unmanageable. If you time the reflect for the prior attack correctly, you should be able to reflect before having to pass through the pink spread and trigger an additional volcano as well.
Score Attack Stage 2:
2,118,010,061,479,715,500 - Kaneda / Chery
I almost took 6th place, but I'll settle for 7th :)
371,084,876,503,500- kabuki / Kart / RF / Stage 4
Mode, should I post my new high score everytime I move up in the ranks, assuming that I may get better ??
Also, have you thought about adding a 2-player Arcade high score section ??
