I suppose it's designed for when Raikoh is massively leveled up later on.
How do you if you've completed them if you don't know what they are? I didn't even know they were in there!

Dismantling the mansion piece by piece on the second level was sublime - the level design reminded me of the OXM demo level, in fact. I don't think the lanterns count though, because I know I missed some and still got an A for items destroyed. I think they're just there to get in the way and set you on fire if you're not careful.
The tourches definitly count, it just depends how many there are per level. Also, you do not have to destroy

I scored a 100-hit combo at the end of the fourth level when being swarmed by the skeleton mages, using a set of twin scimitars (I got them after completing level 3, but have no idea if that was due to a secret objective or what). I thought I wasn't harming the statue at all, as I was being thrown back, but I figured hey, since I can lock on, I must be doing some damage, right? :\
100 hits?! Holy crap! I didn't stay around that long. Actually, I couldn't. My magic had run out, so I needed to kill the priest with the quickness.
