TNL now has it's own score thread for Katamari Damacy! Go here and see how you stack up to the compitition!
The only motivation to play this game I have left is to compete in it. Don't cock block me.

Is the series dead after tomorrow's NA PSP release? They appear to be waving goodbye. Translator needed.
If it is dead after the PSP release, then the DS was simply a rumor?Quote:

I don't know one of the kanji, but the translation goes like this:
Everyone Loves Katamari On the Web closed on March 17th, 2006. Thank you for the long time.
I'd guess if the site's closed there isn't any hope for another game...
The guy that made it said he didn't want to do another Katamari game, but instead try something new. He only did the sequel because so many people demanded it.Quote:

Namco's the least whorish of the big Japanese companies, though I still wonder if they're going to push on without the main guy.
That must be why we are on the 7th version of Tekken and and 6th Ridge Racer when they both started during the 32-bit generation.Quote:

Obviously, Capcom is the #1 whorish company. Sega is not much better (how many Sonic games are there?). Konami makes a fuckton of Yu-Gi-Oh games, and it's debateable (sp) if Castlevania is "whored out".
But, I would love to see Katamari whored out. At the very least, it should be merchandised. I'd collect little figures of all of the cousins, with a giant sized King to go with them. They could fill one of those bouncy ball machines with a bunch of balls painted up like katamaris. They could make dioramas. And I for one would not mind seeing a new Katamari every year, with new missions and new music, even if it kept the exact same engine and storyline.
I heart Katamari.
