Trent Reznor pulls out of DOOM III.

Kinda strange we've not heard more about this; Reznor had a pretty major role in the game development. It's also kinda funny in a way, when you consider on average it's about four or five years between NIN album releases...

Eh, I would have been curious to hear what he'd come up with, after the utter strangeness that was his Quake 1 "soundtrack."

Woot, new NIN CD. Nice.

Metallica should sign up to do the soundtrack for Doom 3. As soon as a monster is alerted to your presence they can play St. Anger; that will give every one more than enough motivation to either high tail it outta there or destory everything in sight to shut it off. ;)

Or just say "screw this" and go back to HL2.

But that will probably happen regardless of who does the soundtrack.

To be honest, though his stuff is generally good, I think the game would be better suited with an original soundtrack this go around, what with it going with the horror theme now.
