Seen it last year. Own Japanese dvd of it. Yes it way weird and extremely violent and gory. Lots of scene of torture, nipple slicing, limb cutting and other forms of dismemberment. Still a very visual and cool movie.
Ssbomberman, I cant honestly tell you if R1 version of this is coming out. If so, hopefully it will stay in its true UNCUT form.
Awesome trailer though. I wish more movies werent so afraid to show off gory and graphic details.
Question: The girl that he was screwing, what did he do to her, cut her throat?
If you mean the girl in the trailer, it wasnt Ichi screwing her, but her abusive boyfriend, who loved to beat her up and then fuck her. Ichi went mad split him in half with his heel blade, which can be seen in the trailer. Girl was screaming, and from what I remember, hs did cut her throat with another kick. But I might double check on that.
I mean, that was a bit much, she's laying there trembling trying to scream, with this look on her face that you can't describe.

:lol: Thats Takeshi Miike for you. Some people love him, some cant stand. Most of his films have bizzare, disgusting and extremely violent moments. Thats his trademark, and Ichi pushes the limit quite a bit.
This trailer may have been one of the most messed up things I have ever seen.

Saw the uncut version of Ichi the Killer. Took me five or six hours to finish watching the movie. It was way too hardcore, I actually had to pause it and get some fresh air before coming back to watch it again.

BTW, that dude, Kakihara, steals the show.
I agree, Kakihara was one twisted bastard, but damn.... Ichi was way too messed up in the head to be likable. You did feel sorry for him, but things he did were just fucked up.
