Alien Quadrilogy

IGN has reported this box set will be out by Sept. 11 with a nearly 3-hour alien 3 and alternative openings/endings to resurrection, plus disks that show all the detials behind production, special FX and hopefully complete display of both aliens and AVP comics from dark horse.

I'm hoping all these extras are in there when they are officially announced. Alien 3 has quite a number of scenes I wanted to see and having almost a full hour added should make the story better then what everyone has panned it to be, however seeing that AR could get the alternative ending makes more sense as the original script made out the fight with the newborn ended just after they crashed on earth.

I'm just hoping they don't price this over $80 or I'm gonna be poor.

Great, and I just dropped over $100 on the Alien Legacy Box Set. Now I'm gonna have to get this one, too. Hopefully, the new footage can improve on the 3rd(which I thought was good) and 4th(which was okay). Nothing can quite match the genius of the first two, though. Not by a long shot.

Looks like pre-pricing places it at @ $101 American (not counting the discount that website offers). Pretty damned good for a 9-disc set.

Hell, I am REALLY excited about this boxset. Its time for me to diss my old VHS collection of the serious, and since I missed out on previous release of Alien series, this set is PERFECT. Plus it will have the "original" cut of Alien 3 which was never seen before, and I hope that Ressurection will also have all those scenes that got cut from it.

They cut out a forest chase scene in AR that would have at least put it closer to aliens plus I wanted to see that ending where the newborn gets butchered by farming equipment. :evil:

Would this be the time to ask if there are plans for another Alien movie, or for an Alien vs. Predator ?

Did they film that alternate ending for AR? The one they used looked like it took awhile to make. I thought it was really cool.

An excuse to watch Alien 3 again... hooray!

Cool, somebody who likes Alien 3. I thought it was a good movie, not deserving of the backlash it recieved. How do you like the other ones, 88?
