Stop using PayPal (formally someone stole my money)

I finally installed that new fan into my computer and just when I though things are back to normal...

...I take a look at my bank statement online only to see that all my money is gone. Apparently, some fag took the money in my bank account through PayPal. All $1400+ of it. :curse: :curse: :curse: I've already called PayPal and an "investigation" has begun. Fuck.

Damn, Shit man. !!!! That seriously sucks. I wonder how did they got your Paypal account/password. Did you remember any emails and such where you could have given your info to somebody?

It always a good idea to have Paypal account on on your CC card with very low limit, or on Bank account with only like $100 or less on it. Dont even give your main cards/accounts to any of online services.

I hope that investigation goes well. I also recently had a case when someone used my account to open some accounts on the net, but I called that place and they refunded all the money, and erased the info of my card, which I replaced.

Sucks about your funds bro, I've read paypal is notoriously difficult to deal with as far as refunds n' such.

It's always them faggots stealing peoples money... :/

I have no idea. I've never given out my information to anyone out of the ordinary.

What else is there to do? Should I go ahead and get a new bank account #? Is that even going to help?

Yeah, I have a special PayPal checking account that I keep mostly empty.
Whether they steal $20 or $1000+, it still sucks ass.

Regarding those fraudulent, forged PayPal emails that've been going around, I remember seeing one in my inbox not too long ago. I viewed the source of the HTML attachment and there was something about an ATM PIN- very fishy. Naturally, I asked PayPal staff about it and they said it was a fake.

I hope you get that $1400 back and that the fool who did this to you finds his ass behind bars.
