Japanese FPS
Everyone knows that Japanese first person games are about as great as Western fighters, but I'd their attempts at this genre... just out of morbid curiosity. Lets just stick to action games, keep the rpgs and adventure games out of here.;)
These are some Japanese first person games that I know about.
Jumping Flash series-PS1- Not really an FPS... but it's a lot of fun.
Maken X- DC
Crime Busters(or whatever its name was)- JPS1
Outrigger - DC
And that one Rainbow Six clone for the DC
Are there any others?

Daedalus for the Saturn. But I've never played it. Apparently it's a Wolfenstein style FPS.
Do giant robot games (eg Gungriffon) count?
Soon you'll have Breakdown too. But I have a feeling that it'll be sub-Goldeneye at best.
Later.

Kileak the Blood! Err, I mean Kileak: The DNA Imperative. I think it had a sequel, too.
Ick.
-
I think Space Griffon VF-9 (PSX/DC) counts. And yeah, ick.
-
isnt there that 3do (system) game, i think it had a sequel as well. was set in pyramids or something....
-
Aw, nobody's mentioned Bio Hazard Gun Survivor yet?
Wonder why...

Tetsujin (aka Iron Angel Of The Apocalypse) was a Japanese 3DO FPS, but I don't think it was the one you're thinking of.
-
I think Maken X might be the best Japan's done in the genre. I quite liked the game, but whoa.

Has anyone played Kileak's sequel Brahma Force? I often see it cheap but I'm still hesitant to buy it.
The Japanese haven't made many good FPSs. The Jumping Flash games are quite good and I enjoyed Outtrigger(although it could have been much better). Crime Crackers is pretty cool although it borders on Action/RPG. Maken X is okay but mostly gets praised by people who don't know much about FPSs(like Dave Halverson and ECM).
