Sonic clones
Well are there any decent clones of Sega's Sonic series? The closest that I can think of is Konami's Tiny Toons series with its similar running mechanics and all. And wasn't there some NES game starring some pink dino or something that played similar to Sonic? Are there any others?

Data East's High Seas Havoc for the genny comes immediately to mind.
Other than that, nothing TOO similar.
-
Data easts Dashin Desperados kinda reminds of Sonic's multiplayer. Has anyone here played it?
-
I have played Dashin' but I don't remember it well.
Jazz Jackrabbit is kind of like Sonic. The first game was pretty good.

There was this Twinbee platformer (I think it was twinbee) that only came out on the JP SNES.
Damn good game- 3 selectable characters with Sonic-style gameplay, with some Rocket-Knight style boosting...

Socket for Genesis could be considered a Sonic clone, I think. Horrible game though.

Awesome Possum Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt! is supposed to be Tengen's answer to Sonic, but I've heard it's not that good and has some annoying voice samples. Mercifully, you can stifle them from the options menu. Tengen probably were trying to do a clone of Accolade's Bubsy which itself had been inspired by Sonic.

Pulseman was pretty decent...

Road Runner for the SNES was a pretty good Sonic Clone.
