De Le Hoya loses WTF?!

Did any of you guys catch this fight last night?

Oscar De La Hoya lost,,

I seriously didnt think the Oscar was going to be able to beat Mosley going in to it, but La Hoya actually put up a damn good fight,and he looked a little shaky at times but he stuck it in for the long run.I mean the guy landed like what.. close to 50% of his punches compared to the 12% Mosely snuck in? And Mosley had that obviously intentional cheap-ass headbutt to try and get the 'sker scared :mad:

and it was fucking unanimous between the 3 judges - somebody slipped em a couple 20 spots for sure :curse:

what the hell did you guys think ? did Hoya deserve to lose or deserve to win?

I didn't see the fight but just about everything I'd read about it says DeLaHoya either should have won or at least lost by a split decision at absolute most.

There's so much corruption in boxing now and lack of talented heavyweights that the sport has become an absolute joke as a whole. :devil:

So very very deserved.

Watch the fight again. Mosley won.

Mosley won. No doubt about it. He landed the harder shots. At the latter portions of the fight, it was obvious who was more fatigued and beaten down. De La Hoya landed more punches, but they didn't hurt Mosley worth a damn. I swear one too many people have been brainwashed by HBO commentary.

As the self appointed resident boxing expert ill go on record as stating that Mosley won the fight, it could have gone either way really but it was no robbery as the announcing team would like you to believe.

Mosley won the fight for his cleaner harder shots, otherwise knows as effective aggresiveness.

Boxing is not currupt like uneducated arm chair fans of the sport may wish to think, stating so makes you look clueless...

Foreman is known for making ignorant comments during fights, add this with the fact that him and Bob Arum the promottor of De La Hoya are very good freinds and of course youll hear conspiracy comments from him.

The fact is this,

only 1 judge was from Vegas..

Hoya's promoter promoted the fight.

Hoya was considered the "house" fighter.

The crowd was predominately pro Hoya.

Hoya is the biggest PPV draw outside of the heavyweights.

So why would the fix be in for Mosley who had everything against him in case there was a fix?



Also, not EVERYONE thought Hoya won..

ESPN had Mosley winning...

Dougie Fischer of maxboxing had Mosley winning..

Boxingtalk had Mosley winning..

Ed Ludwig of East Side Boxing had Mosley winning.

Lenox Lewis had Mosley winning...

I had Mosley winning 7-5

You will be amazed at the difference in the fight youll see without the blatant pro hoya commentating blasting you in the ears.

Hoya lands a solid jab in Mosley's face..

Lampley says: Great jab by Oscar, Mosley is confused...



Mosley lands a smashing over hand right on Oscar who then flicks a left hook out.

Merchant says: Watching Oscar's counter punching is a thing of beauty George.



Mosley lands a monster left hook knocking Oscar off balance and retreating, then holding when they get close.

Formeman Says: That Oscar sure does have a great chin...

The turnout (both live and PPV buys) for this fight was incredible. I'd love to see a 5-fight rivalry, like Ray Robinson and LaMotta. De La Hoya wants no part of a third fight, however.

I'm surprised so many people actually believe the crap that comes out of Lampley's, Merchant's and Foreman's mouth. I wish I could get the international broadcast instead of retarded HBO broadcast so I can like listen to the fight without an outrageous amount of stupidity comments coming out of my speakers.

Mosley's options are a rematch with Forrest as he's moving up and you know how that would go.

A fight with Mayorga but he would loose.

Or he could go after Winkey Wright who holds the last title.

Wright would be the easiest fight for Mosley.

I like Lampley because hes actually a nice guy in real life, he however is not a boxing expert.

Merchant is a drunken arrogant jerk.

Foreman is much like Lampley but as a commentator says some stupid out there shit...

I hope Merchant rots in hell. Lampley and Foreman aren't bad people. I just wish they would stop commentating or something.

As for Mosley's options, yeah Winky is the logical choice simply because he actually stands a chance of beating him and winning all the titles in the division would make him more money. Mayorga and Forrest would be dangerous fights that won't make him much money so that won't happen soon anyways unless Mosley feels like getting beat up.

ALLOT of people are picking Mosley to destroy Mayorga..

I look at it in the "Style make fights" sense.

Mosley for all his plusses is nothing more then a speedy slugger since his blow outs of Taylor and Stone.

Whereas he was a boxing phenom in his light weight days.

Put Mosley in there with Mayorga who has an iron jaw and never ending stamina and let them bang...
