Shinya, what border are you playing the first level on? I haven't yet made the jump to working on the red border, but I think I'll try soon. I can't imagine you could have gotten that score any other way.
Break cancel? Do you mean stop your break laser from firing or send that giant blob of plasma into the boss sending it out? If you just want to make the boss eat that ball of electric death you fly towards it, manually ramming it down its throat. Very, very satisfying. :)
If you want to do something else I'm stumped, sorry.

I realized that there is not a way to really score high in any other border. The difficulty is intense, but well worth it. I figured I try it and got around 690+ break for the stage(couldn't remember the exact number). The reason you can break higher is the big enemies and boss fire greater ammounts of bullets that you can break.Quote:

I bow before your superior wisdom, Shinya. i just tried the first level on Red Border, and although I can't yet beat the boss, I got almost 4 million just from the bulk of the level. Clearly the only way to get these incredible 200 mil scores hinted at earlier is to go through the whole game at the Red Border. I shudder to think of all the work this will take.

Question: I know what the green score is on the lower-right part of the screen (points you need to change border in next level), but what's the circle to the right of it? It seems to fill up with yellow. Is this a difficulty rank meter?
