Yup. Same here. I never listen to music radio unless I'm in a car with someone who does. I prefer talk radio. My favorite show is Coast To Coast AM with George Noory, which is the former Coast To Coast AM with Art Bell. I listen to that almost religiously. I also enjoy the hilarious Phil Hendrie show (which will be coming on in just a couple minutes here) and some of the local broadcasting. C2C is imho one of the best shows on radio or television! Bravo to Mr. Bell!

I miss Art Bell. That show totally enjoyable.

I spent many a night staying up late enough to catch the first hour or two...

I discovered talk radio earlier in the year and I'm not going back. Keep in mind, this isn't politcal talk or Rush Limbaugh. These people are regular Joe's who provide content that is always new, fresh and never tiring.

Some of the Floridians here might be familiar with the station, Real Radio 94.3

In CA, the big ones are KABC and MRP. MRP is a little too...same thing I hear everywhere, but good stuff. KABC is coolness, because I'm a fan of Larry Elder's talk show.

I gave up on music radio 9 months ago and now all I listen to is NPR.

Art Bell was great. I kinda wish soembody would have recorded his broadcast so they could rerun it on the web someplace.

Didn't he quit because someone threatened him? I remember he was having problems with people giving him shit but I guess it finally got to him and he just decided he didn't want this anymore.

talk radi has a lot of really irritating personalities though.. I don't like commercial radio, but the college stations around here usually have something interesting on, as well as having the pleasure of having KEXP which is a great station.

When it comes down to it I'd rather listen to shitty music than listen to people bitch back and forth at each other over the phone.

First off, the Art Bell show is still on... It's just hosted by George Noory on the weekdays now. On the weekends, Art Bell hosts the show now. He decided to come out of retirement... partially, that is. So, Art is back but only on Saturdays and Sundays while George Noory hosts Mondays through Fridays.

Art Bell retired last year because of back problems. His back is a little better now which opted him to do two days out of the week but Noory has the seat now. Although I do prefer Art Bell over Noory, the show is still great and for the most part has kept to it's original idea. You can learn more by going to Coast To Coast AM.

All of the major rock/alternative stations here are owned by Clear Channel (same 5 songs every hour of every day).

I listen to my iPod in the mornings on my drive to school, and Russ Martin (talk radio) on the way back from school.

Fucked up. He was only 38. Man, I miss O&A. The weeks before the St. Pats thing happened were golden. We were getting 8 hours of live Ron & Fez, and 6 hours of O&A every day...
