anyways, it's looking good as usual. i'd like to see more pictures of that level that has the rollercoaster in it. Thray-Walsh, could you maybe tell us about that level?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

I really dislike the new character inspired car designs. I mean, I like the Mario one because it looks like a car. The other ones look more like baby carriages or something.

Game is still loooking slick though.

Yeah, I too dislike the new "kart" designs. The DK Barrel Kart bugs me for some reason. Regardless, I'll still pick the game up day 1.

the level w/ the roller coaster in the background is 'Baby Park', it's the third track in Mushroom Cup, and it's a NASCAR-style oval. Pure insanity, with tons of powerups and short laps (7 as opposed to the normal 3). I think it's pretty fun, especially once Koopa or Koopa Jr. launches a few giant spiked shells that linger, bouncing around for laps at a time.

With all the recent delays and this game sounding more fun every day, I think this will be my GotY if I had to predict so now.

This has probably been addressed, or I would have seen someone complaining about it somewhere, but is it safe to assume that the cheating AI of Mario Kart 64 is nowhere to be seen for this rendition?

Because if I jump across half of Rainbow Road, I don't want the entire pack of racers to move 200% faster to catch me, thanks :)
