Quite possibly the game I'd buy a Cube for. Online play would have sealed the deal, but it's still looking remarkably fun.

The AI cheated in SNES MK too ;)Quote:

Maybe I don't hate them as much as I thought I did.
I kind of like the character specific kart designs. But I'm fruity like that.
The A.I. is VERY different than in past MK games... prepare for the computer players to use mad amounts of items in cruel ways. Lightining bolts, blue shells, etc. get used all the time on 150cc... it's intense, fun, and crazy.
Don't be fooled... since I enjoyed Mario Kart 64, F-Zero X, and Diddy Kong Racing so much I decided to buy GT for the PS... and it sucked so hard. I've come to the conclusion that I only like wacky racing games, preferably where you can attack the other vehicles.Quote:

You aren't alone. Overall I dislike the racing genre, but several Nintendo racers are among my favorite games ever. Crazy Taxi may be the only non-Nintendo racing game amongst my favorite, but people keep telling me its not a racing game.Quote:

Yes, but rivalry is fun. There is no skill or fun involved in pulling off the rainbow road shortcut and then having a long quiet ride. Who want's to play Safe Driver 64? Hell in F-Zero, if you get ahead of the pack the fuckers boost until they catch up. Play balance is teh fun.Quote:

US is better.
I think the US box art is better, too, but I like the fireball in Mario's hand. He's about to smoke some ass!
