I'll watch those videos again. From what I saw, they seemed to be almost strictly colour with translucent texture on top. The karts seemed to be well rendered. Maybe the bridge on the DK course? That volcano seemed to have a good rendering job on it too.

yeah, for the most part everything is rendered really good, and animated really really well. everything has a lot of life.

yeah, like i said, from a graphics stand point, it literally looks almost identical to Mario Sunshine. although a bit more high poly since the enviroments tend to be smaller.

I liked the way Mario Sunshine looked. Some of the textures were pretty low-rez, though. But it's not like a few low rez textures will ruin the game. To say that is just plain stupid.

In the latest EGM, the "Q-Mann" rumor column reports that a bonus disc will be included with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. This disc is said to contain a conversion of Mario Kart 64, which would be a very cool bonus, to be sure.

The game is slated for a November 18th release in the US, so there's still time for this news to be confirmed. As soon as we know, we'll let you know.

Well, the Zelda promotion worked out well for them, so I'm not surprised to see them try similar offers on other titles.

Would indeed be spiffy, if true.

And since the OOT promo disc apparently runs on an N64 emulator, it would make sense since most of the work would already be done.

But I'd rather have the snes version. :D

I'd much rather see the original Mario Kart as I'm not a big fan of the 64 version. Though, I'm not complaining. I love this trend with bonus discs. In fact, the only reason I'm buying Rebel Strike on release is so I can get the classic Star Wars Arcade game.

EDIT- And while not a bonus disc, I'd say this rumor fits here. I just read in the latest OPM that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game *MAY* be included in the new Turtles game. That would mean instant purchase to me.
