Strange Pie

So, I've had some really off the frigging wall pizzas in my life, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with the tastiest of pies.

BBQ Chickin Pizza - Not too uncommon, but some people still look at me like I have three heads when I suggest it.

Pineapple Pizza - More commonly refered to as "Hawaiian Pizza."

Peanuts & Raspberries Pizza - Reguardless of what a mental image of this might call up, you've got to try it. One of my favorite pizza pies ever, second only to . . .

Wing Sauce Pizza - Or "Hot Sauce Pizza," but I'd like to avoid confusion. I'm not talking Tobasco. It's a regular cheese pie, but with your favorite hot wings sauce of choice dumped out in liberal measure on top. This is the best kind of pizza you could ever order.

None of these seem too weird, except for peanuts and raspberries... you should walk into a California Pizza Kitchen sometime. Odd stuff there.

I'm not too fond of it... though chicken on pizza is good. More on that when I get to the bottom.

Hawaiian Pizza usually includes both pineapple and ham, but I don't really like the ham. Pineapple is great on pizza, though. Nobody ever seems to think so until they try it, but it's probably my favorite topping.

This I'd like to try... but I had never even heard of it or seen it anywhere. Interesting.

I love chicken wing pizza, but I've never had it with just the wing sauce and no chicken. Usually, the way they do it where I used to get it at home is that it's a normal pizza, with wing sauce replacing the tomato sauce, and pieces of chicken that was cooked in the sauce on top. This alone is excellent, but another one of the places at home used bleu cheese on top. I don't even like bleu cheese, but it was great.

Finding really great pizza in Boston hasn't been easy, though... cheap and edible pizza is right across the street, but I want better!

That variant on Wing Pizza sounds great! My brother works at a Pizza/Steak/Hoggie/Wings shop, so I'll see if he can't persuade the owner to make me one. :D

I eat ~6 slices of good 'ol fashioned NYC pizza every friday. :) One of the best places in NYC, too! (Not including Spumoni Gardens/Patsys--I know some of you have had pizza there :p )

Best pizza I've ever had was Round Table's chicken & garlic.

There's a chain out here (L.A.) called Papa John's that has some great variations:

Spinach alfredo (might sound strange, but it was really good)
Chicken alfredo
BBQ Chicken & bacon
Hawaiian, but with BBQ sauce added

When I visited Chicago, I went to a local joint and the pizza there was more like thick quiche - you had to eat it with a knife and fork because it was so dense.

i like Meatballs on Pizza thats some good shit

ive also had 3 cheese bacon pizza

but only once you can only eat one slice of that in a life time

When I went to NYC last year we tried a bunch of places. The best we had was Sal & Carmine's.

Did you, ummm, even say... where you eat at on Friday's? Or are we supposed to figure it out?

I'll eat any kind of pizza, but I do have a special fondness for the BBQ Chicken Pizza. I assume only Tombstone makes it.. it's a whole lot better than it sounds, believe me. :)

Place by me on Staten Island, voted best on the island and in the top 10 out of all NYC-- Valduccis. I still think Patsys is the best, and it's acclaimed as the best in NYC as well.

My mother makes homemade pizza with meat sauce-- it kicks ass. :)
