What's Eating at Nintendo?

The Smash Brothers games are some of the most diverse and fun fighting games I've ever played. The underlying complexity to them is what has helped keep the original game enjoyable for me to this day.

No, I haven't played it. But I was sitting in the room the entire time my brother played it. I like Metroid Prime better. So shut the fuck up already.

And you fucking specifically said that their franchises this gen were worse than the previous gen. Smash Bros Melee, F-Zero, and Metroid Prime are better. I don't give a flying fuck who developed what, the key thing is that these franchises' incarnations on the Cube, are better than their incarnations on the N64.

Okay, I'll give you Metroid Prime, for now. Once I finish up Fire Emblem, I'll play it.

But one thing, Metroid Prime is better than last gen's offering because we never got a Metroid game last gen. How could it not be better? ;)

I like Gamecube games. A lot.

And I can beat Super Metroid with 100% in under 4 hours. BOOYAH!

The games are brilliant and addictive, especially in multiplayer. The gameplay is excellent yet people seem to bash it for not being as complex as Virtua Fighter, which is as ridiculous as expecting Mario Kart to play like Gran Turismo.

I never sat down to play Smash Brothers, but a couple of months ago, I went to an arcade that had multiplayer consoles set up. They were having a tournament that featured SSBM and the crowd turnout was pretty solid. They even had quite a few people looking in on the action. The game looked pretty cool, from what I saw.
