Amped 2 - Official

Hey, how come there's no love for Amped 2?

I never owned the original Amped, but I thought the demo was alright. I just got Amped 2 off the retail site, I figured I might as well try it out since it's so cheap, and if I don't like it, EB or Gamestop will at least give 2 or 3 times the amount I paid.

Is there ANYONE on TNL who's looking forward to it, or already got it? I know nothing about this game, other that it focuses more on realism than SSX, and that the controls take some getting used to.

I actually enjoyed the first one despite its unforgiving controls. Especially when it came to landing. It is the more realistic approach and this one sounds just as good. Let me know how it is.

I liked Amped more than SSX or Tricky, so I'm more excited for Amped 2 than SSX3, but I'm sure that's far from the average opinion :p

I'm pumped for Amped 2. The first game made me work like no other snowboarding game before.

The soundtrack was awesome...and with 300 new indie songs I know the second one will rock.

Patience was the key with the first game and anyone who played it long enough can vouch for that. Tricks, speed, etc. get much easier once you build up your rider in career mode.

Plus career mode was addicting as hell.

Needless to say, I will have this game this afternoon.

Amped is the best snowboarding game ever, hands down. I plan on getting it ASAP but I never hear anything about it, it might even be out for all I know...

I'm actually debating just taking the sealed copy, and trading it in for something else, like Rainbow Six 3.

I mean, the GameFAQ's board is really dead (and pretty much every game gets some pages on release date), and there's been no hype on this board, as well.

I'm not really seeing anything convincing of me to keep it, other than "It's more realsitic", and SSX 3 is doing a damn good job of being a snowboarding game already.

I got until Friday to think on it, though.

I'm on TNL and I'm looking forward to the game. I never bought the first one, but I rented it a couple times. Just never got around to buying it. I'm picking up Amped2 tomorrow afternoon.

Having played more than half an hour of Amped 2 at E3, and about the same period of time playing SSX3 yesterday... I'd have to say that the two games are very different in thier newest incarnations.

I think most gamers play SSX and then don't see the point in playing any other snowboarding game. Sort of how Tony Hawk is *THE* skateboarding game. But, SSX is far from the THPS of snowboarding.

Do yourself a favor and at least try Amped2 out. You may find you like it.
