I have a netlink and VO Netlink edition, as well as Sega Rally, Bomberman, and Duke 3D. If you're long distance though, forget it. I'm not footing the bill. :)
The only netlink game I've played is Duke, and the 2D sprites make it a pretty lame experience.
I have a local friend with Netlink/VO. I may give him a ring to see if he wants to play, but I'm afraid my pride might be damaged in the process, i.e. my Virtual On skills are not complete.
D'OH! That's right, if you dial out of state you pay LD.
*Kosh who wishes mass death upon the idiots at Seganet who have made Bomberman Online almost 100% unplayable, a game he only got to play online ONCE briefly due to the horrible server.*
you can dial to anybody anywhere with a phone number. being that its only a 28.8 modem im sure there would be a bit of lag (depending on distance of course) but within the city i never noticed any at all. thats why it infuriates me so that people never bought the damnned thing. i love my netlink, it was actually the first thing i ever used to surf the net :DQuote:

All too many people had missed out.Quote:
Are there online strategy vdeos of this game anywhere online? Because I seriously get the feeling that I'm missing a whole lot in this game, and there aren't any VO:OT machines in this city that I know of, only VO:OM.
No, the videos aren't exactly easy to find. On the other hand, you can download VOOT replays directly to your VMU and view them in the game... MUCH better than downloading some video.
Anyways, there was once a place called "The Virtual On Archive", which had tons of great replays. Sadly, it's looking for a new home, as it's previous provider went down.
yeah, that must be why the circuit-board graphic-overlays on mine are curling up at the corners. I can just imagine the stacks of those boxes in some SouthEast Asian warehouse.Quote:
...still didnt sell and they sat in a warehouse getting all "moldy and dusty"
You can count me in on the NetLink Revolution!
.er that is right after I score one from Ebay, I have seen 'em not sell for like $4.99, oi, I can't wait.
(hrmm, I wonder if this thread will cause a price spike:eek: )
edit:
errm, I mean the Control-panel overlays.
D'oh!
Long distance.. forgot about that small detail...
Anyway, Twin Sticks: Anyone have a list of games that support them but it is just undocumented? I remember reading that Outtrigger supports them...
i tohught i remembered Daytona supporting them......i think.
Rez is a totally different game using the twinsticks, much more challenging IMHO ;)
Hey, good solution! Can anybody point me to the FAQ that details how to hijack your PC's broadband for DC? I really don't wanna get another dial up account.Quote:
