I believe Sammy is just publishing Kaido Battle. Like Toyko Xtreme Racer it's actually developed by Genki. :)Quote:

Thanks for the link, btw.
Do any of these "three fucking cities" any different from the others? I mean it gets pretty boring looking at the top half of sky scrapers at night. Fun game and all but it hurts its own replay value by being very boring to look at.
I don't know about the rest of you, but the scenery never turned me off to TXR2. I must have logged twice as many hours with that game as any other 2 racing games put together. Seemed quite re-playable to me. I always just had to give it one more go out on the highway to try and find whatever gang leader was evading me.
I think it would be pretty silly for them to stray too far from the formula. The name of the game is Shutokou Battle (Tokyo Xtreme Racer). It's about one-on-one night races on Japanese highways. So, adding Osaka and Nagoya to the established gameplay makes perfect sense. Adding something else - something different - would be daft. As far as the new cities being different, they are modelled after real highways and cities, so they are surely about as different as you'd expect different Japanese cities to be.Quote:

I guess I'll be buying Tokyo Xtreme 3... got this e-mail today from Sammy:
Michael,
I am sad to say the latter is true. For now, Kaido Battle for the US has been cancelled. Thank you for your interest in Sammy Studios. We are dedicated to bringing great games to the market. We are just one year old here in the U.S. and just getting started.
Stay tuned…
That sucks. :( i wonder if someone else can pick it up. Maybe Crave will if TXR3 does well for them.Quote:
