Movie of the year

A nice amount of good movies were released this past year and it will be interesting to see which film(s) get the most votes. I'm not putting up a poll as there are probably a bunch I would forget, but I am just going to list my top 3 of the year.

The Last Samurai
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Pirates of the Caribbean

X2 just missed the list and I am sure ROTK will be right up there also.

*EDIT* - I'm just listing movies that were released in the theaters in the US, otherwise I am sure Hero would have made the list also.

I think I made a personal record in number of movies I saw in theatres this year and the only one I regretted paying for was probably The Hours...

My top five:
1. return of the king (seriously, there's absolutely no way this movie can fail at taking best movie of the year)
2. pirates of the caribbean
3. anything else
4. lost in translation
5. love actually

Off the top of my head, Pirates, Freddy Vs. Jason, and X2. I've seen a lot of movies this year, hard to pick. There are still quite a few I want to see too.

X-Men 2 for the Colossus cameo alone

Lost in Translation, and probably RoTK when it comes out. Co-winners. MOTY! MOTY! MOTY!

Definately Last Samurai for me. Wonderful film. Best film I seen this year without questions.

Pirates of the Carribean and possible ROTK might get runner up places.

Last Samurai is my #1, only RotK has a shot a toping it.

Kill Bill vol. 1 gets into the top 3, possibly above RotK.
