Yoshi's Safari
i just got the soundtrack for the game, and im hearing quite a few songs on here that's really making me want it.
IRD and R&D1 did really great shit with the Super Scope, and being that EAD was pretty much unstoppable in the SNES days, i don't see why they wouldn't be able to hang. i mean, it was directed by Konno, who's easily one of Nintendo's best directors, and running around the Mushroom Kingdom on Yoshi's back and shooting shit down sounds like a lot of fun.
but anyways, what's the game play like, and well, is it worth getting or what?
-
It sucks, don't get it.
Horrible graphics, boring and repetitive gameplay, lame ass bosses, and it's pathetically easy on top of everything else.
-
ACTUALLY...
I thought it looked pretty nice, and the gameplay is like every other shooter in it's time. You see things, and you shoot them. The bosses are pretty lame and yeah, its really really easy. You'll blow through it in about 30 minutes without being touched.

Yeah, OK, the sprites are decent, but I remember the animation being shit for the 3 enemies TOPS that were found in the game.

GOOMBA
FLYING GOOMBA
BULLET BILL!
...
Wait, was he even in that one?
-
I don't remember... weren't there Koopa Troopas, too? I know that if you shot Yoshi in the head, he'd get a band-aid on it.
I'll play it tonight, if I can scrounge up the hundreds of batteries required to power my Super Scope.
And if I stop watching STAR TREK!
-
I played it once long ago..it was okay. Grab it if you see it for less than 5 bucks.
Otherwise, stick to BattleClash. That game was fucking awesome.
-
yeah, it's all about Battleclash and Metal Combat. anyways, im sure i'll be able to find it for $10 tops. so i might check it out.
-
I remember jumping bits, but I forget how they worked. Did you have to shoot Yoshi in the arse or something? Anyway, Super Scope 6 kicked it's ass, all hail Super Scope Tetris.

I've seen this played, and it makes me cringe. I can't see the word 'Yoshi' without being traumatised by memories of Yoshi's Story for the N64.
