So downgrade the software. The older versions of iPod software are usually available online (not through Apple most likely) and just reset it to factory settings that way. If you still have your official install disc, that might have an older version, too. I don't have a video and don't much about how they handle unofficial videos though, so I have no idea if the new version has a loophole you can use.

My 4G Nano will not shut down. It won't even idle itself off. It stays on, no matter what. help plz kthnxbye.

most problems with lockups and such can be solved by olding Menu and the center button for 30 Seconds.. it's a "hard" reboot.
