I've never seen a videogame about it, and rarely does anyone make a big deal about the champion, but D-I college hockey is quite cool. 2001 and 2002 produced the big M as the winner, this year the dirty Sioux have a good run at the title. But my SCSU Huskies aren't doing to shabby, either.
Anyone else pay attention to US college hockey? Favorite teams?
Who are the Sioux? Who is the "big M"? Who is SCSU?
UCLA Mens Hockey sucks.
Sioux are the University of North Dakota team. They're dirty. And very good.
The big M could be taken as Michigan or Minnesota, in this case it is Minnesota.
SCSU is Saint Cloud State University. A small school in Minnesota with a good team. I'll be going there next year.
I don't even think UCLA is Division I in hockey. It's mostly northern teams. As it is, the WCHA (Minnesota teams, Wisconsin, Michigan Tech, Alaska-Anchorage, North Dakota, Colorado College and Denver) are tearing up the rankings. Seven of the top ten PairWise (unofficial, yet always correct, rankings) are WCHA teams.
I could care less about US College Hockey. I find the games to be incredibly boring. The CHL is much more entertaining. I only follow it to check out how certain prospects are doing. To that end, I'll happily report that Zach Parise is fantastic. He was just named MVP of the World Juniors and he will be a star in the NHL in about 2 years time.

Yeah College hockey only really exits where Hockey can exist, places that are cold. The north east, the midwest, alaska, colorado. If you are a hockey fan you should really check it out, its faster and more scrappy, mainly because its college and not pro.
One thing thats also odd about College hockey is the big teams belong schools that don't really have anything else in terms of Sports. Hell four of the bigger teams are all in Minnesota, and hate each other.
The Huskies and the Sioux can go to hell! Gophers are going for the thrid in a row this year, last year may have been a suprise, just you wait this year will be even bigger! MUWAHAHA!
