cliché definitely, but it's actually the biggest reason why i started buying them mags too. it's nice seeing a semi-nekkid chick on the cover and in the spreads, but the articles are almost always the best things in there. it's fascinating reading about serial killers that haven't been caught in decades, or guys who think they're supermen only to get some crazy crap like gangrene crossing the Atlantic to get to New Zealand.

Diff, I agree that those Stuff-Maxim-FHM mags get pretty boring after a while, but there's not way that Blender is better than Rolling Stone. And yes, I've read Blender. The writing in Rolling Stone is a lot better, and some of those articles that aren't about music are actually really good. It's a great mag.

You actually bothered to READ them? Magazines like this aren't for reading, silly, they're for looking at the pretty pictures while at the newsstand. Period. Anyone who actually buys a copy is a 'tard. The articles are vapid, and the rampant (and poorly done) airbrushing is really getting on my nerves.

Still, they managed to make cute-as-a-button Alyson Hannigan look like a hollywood hooker... :sweat:

Also, it's really showing me how pathetic most actresses are- it seems they all do photo shoots in their underwear for these magazines in a sad attempt to get themselves "noticed"...Neve Campbell is on the cover of Maxim or whatever this month, and she hasn't done anything of note lately. She's sitting there, looking somewhat unconfortable, in skimpy lingerie, with blatantly obvious cleavage airbrushed in because she's totally flat as a board in real life (worse than Claire Danes, even- I think Neve's chest actually goes in). Man, actresses really are all whores. It's amusing seeing them scramble to do anything they can to remain young, hip, and sexy.

Bad N-Gage ads comprised about half of that magazine. Literally.

Anyhow, for anyone looking for a decent men's magazine, I highly recommend GQ. The articles are excellent, particularly from their regular columnists, the fashion spreads are great, and the women are much better looking.

Got a free sub to Maxim, my brother gets Stuff. Cheap ass sister spending 5 bucks on us for christmas, but I digress.

Best reading ever on the shitter. Wanking material, cool shit to look at and tales of mafia/war/murder.
