Movies you liked that everyone hates..

www.allgame.com is the closest thing I can think of. But I don't think it has total sales or as many details as imdb.

It actually opened and did okay at the box office. The reason it failed was because Brad Pit refused to reduce his asking price of like $20 million or something like that (may have been 10) for the movie. I saw a whole show on movie producers and how they're only as good as their last hit.

Fight Club got some big executive fired. I think it's the same guy that greenlit Something About Mary, which was a really big hit.

Oh and the marketting sucked, too. But if he had reduced down to like 5 million the movie could've made some gross.

Bill Mechanic, he was the CEO of FOX film between 1996-2000. Rupert Murdoch fired him after the compounding failures of "Fight Club" and "Titan A.E" which he championed. He also championed "Romeo + Juliet"... while Murdoch wanted the "script" to be re-written in modern English... He greenlighted every Fox movie within his reign... this includes Titanic.

Why on earth are you listing the first Ace Ventura movies? It MADE Carrey a superstar. It did awesome and a shit load of people love that movie. Again folks, the title is "movies you liked that everyone hates..." ya gotta mention movies that most people hate.

Revenge of the Nerds II. terrible movie by all means, but i liked it. nothing is better than the first though.

Dude... threads like this atrophy to that shit all the time. Like you make a thread titled "Games you liked that everyone hates" and someone is gonna mention Super Metroid or Quake or something, it always happens. People just don't get it.

He also lists Star Wars Episode 1, which made something like half a billion bucks at the box office. Sure, maybe its not popular on the internet, but this thread isn't titled "Movies you liked that all sweaty disgusting nerds who haven't talked to a woman in a decade hated".

Titan A.E. was really fucking boring. Pretty at times, but really boring.
