I didn't like CC either.

I wanna give it another try one of these days though.

I wasn't that fond of CC in my first play. However, over August I gave it another shot. It seemed a lot better, knowing how to get certain characters and secrets and discovering a handful of new ones. Doesn't touch Trigger, though.
This news makes me quite sad. I've been waiting and waiting for any sort of news on another sequel for far too long. If they've dropped the project, my respect for Square-Enix will falter a bit. :-/
Yeah, because, storyline aside, Chrono Cross was only one of the best RPGs to come from Japan. It'd be horrible to get another game as good.Quote:

It's just a name change. I hope
If "how RPG's play" is so important to you, try Dragon Quarter.
While it was piss easy for me, there are quite a few cool gameplay elements for me. Like:
1. Find and steal skills rather than getting them as you level up.
2. Party exp system and the uncommon bonuses for beating enemies quickly and taking on multiple enemies.
3. Best combat system I have seen, while it doesn't have team attacks the cone shaped attacks and circle range systems make me feel as if the game is the spiritual successor to the original CT.
4. A time limit for the game.
Dragon Quarter sucks.
*Starts planning "accident" for diffusions blasphemy*
