See, to me, it's still the same game.... It may be a sequel, it may be tons better, but it's still the same game. I can't see the controller being used for anything else without me considering it the same (Since it's VERY specific), whereas with a Gun, it can go to a variety of games. I just can't justify $200 for it, because I don't have the money to begin with, and I have too many other games to get to. I think it would be awesome to have, but as a poor college student living in a small apartment, it's just not logical.

So the whole "online only, no single-player offline campaign" is true?
Is no one else pissed off about this?

I probally shouldn't have bought mine when it came out, I
don't have the space to really store it, as it just sits in
my apartment, and I have no place to set it up. So I have
a unopened Steel Battalion getting no play. Once I move I
will look forward to playing it.

It wasn't clear to me based on my limited time with the Beta. There was a "Campaign" option, separate from the straight online match-ups, but it could not be selected (at least, not when I was testing it).

I was under the impression that there was an ongoing campaign, and the results of the online play would alter the events in the campaign. I was never sure as to whether there were any true single player missions/campaign for LOC. Perhaps Master could shed some light on this.

If I was actually graduated by now and had a real job I would be on this faster than Oprah on a baked ham. I had no problem paying $100+ for the VOOT controller and I wouldnt have a problem paying for this. This sort of shit is a really really fucking cool thing to me and right now this sort of thing is why I would play videogames. It's for training.

When the human race is at war with a giant alien race (probably around 2250), they can thaw me out and I can sign up for the Earth Defense Force as a mech pilot. Im thinking ahead, you see.
