I passed on DW4, so I'll pick up the xbox version of this if one ends up existing. I'm really looking foward to when this series finally moves onto better hardware though. The PS2 really limits the scope.

Yeah, DW and GTA are definetly two games that need to be on better hardware.Quote:

At first I did think 15 characters was too small, but I think in all of DW 4 I used maybe about 10 characters total, because there was too much clonage as noted before. In this one, I want to play through as every one of these, secret badass characters would make it even more sweeter.
Is there a US release date yet?
I hardly know anything about ancient Japan's warlords outside of stuff from anime and games, but I wonder why Musashi Miyamoto isn't in this? Isn't he a really popular samurai?
The only thing I can think of, is that they have to save some stuff for a sequel.Quote:

I honestly hope Sengoku Musou isn't so brutally murdered in this fashion. It's getting old.
He wasn't really a part of this era, although I guess he could be wedged in there. The Sengoku Jidai was really over by around 1594 (although other historians will put that date at 1598, 1603 or 1615 depending on what event you want to consider its close), at which point Musashi was like 10 years old. He really didn't come to major public prominence until later in his life when he founded his Two Heavens (Ni Ten Ichi Ryu) school, although he was a noted duelist before that. Most of the famous stories around Musashi stem from Yoshikawa Eiji's much later novel about his life.Quote:

The Musashi explanation makes since, but becus i suck with Japanese history, even though i do love it..what about the Yagyu's,Yoshiyoka's,and Andersons.....oops sorry, had The Last Samurai on my mind(great movie by the way).
And really...i was not interested until i saw that Demon Hanzo was in the roster...cus you know....ninja's kick ass and junk.

Ninja's scailing your building,no time to grab the gun they already got your wife and children- RZA
It may be getting old to you, but it obviously makes a ton of money in Japan. And Koei usually announces an xbox port after the previous game sells well on the ps2. See: DW 3 and 4.Quote:

Bah I change my mind to probably gonna get it, the characters does look cool etc.
I just hated the way your role in DW went from crucial part of an army to one man army. I mean the generals could hold their own most times in DW2 (Zhang Fei could hold them at bay for a long time at Chang Ban) and I depended on them, morale system seemed to work and most of the stages where better designed than later on)
Maybe it's because it was one of my first PS2 games but it actually had some memorable moments to come back to (Hu Lao gate being it's finest). I appreciate the new characters of course and the new weapons and combos where nice but I need a return back to part two in many ways.
