I found a copy of this game at my local EB and was thinking about picking it up, Its in the big 5 disc box and has everything with it. Anyways, I was wondering if this game was any good and if I should pick it up before it disapears.

Well, you get Arc The Lad 1-3 with it, as well as the Arena and something else that's an extra. Arc The Lad 1 is very short, about 10 hours, and it mostly serves as one giant prequel to Arc the Lad 2 and 3, and the game starts getting really good by 2. Part 2 is about 40-60 hours I believe, maybe less, but part 3 is a huge game that clocks in at about 100 hours (or so i've heard).Quote:

As for rarity... well, the box set was SUPPOSED to be rare, but it's been around for years now at EB and is rather easy to come across. It looks like it won't get an cheaper than 50 (I got mine used for 45 plus 10% off, luckily it had all the extras), so if you like games like Fire Emblem then give the box set a try.
I really like it, I bought mine day one and think it is worth every penny I spent on it :)
i got it and broke the first game in half. i have a temper problem.
Why? The first game was pretty easy :confused:Quote:

I bought it when it first came out, but then saw two copies at Media Play for $19.99. They sit in the closet, but I doubt they'll ever be worth too much.
edit: to those who played the first one, was there a point to that seemingly endless dungeon?
You mean you didn't buy the $30-$40 guide!?
was always hoping to find it discounted at EB. I got the one for Lunar EB for $14.99
Roufuss, the third game isn't the long one; it's only 20-30 hours. It's Arc II that can become quite lengthy if you decide to try to complete most of the side quests (80 hours for me and i didn't even do everything).
