White House Retreats From Weapons Claims

It doesn't matter that Cheney and company made their decision about Iraq long before Bush's presidency. It also doesn't matter that they lied to us and exploited what happened on 9/11 to garner support from a grieving American populace. Government is like a father figure to some people, and they will defend anything this administration does without giving it a second thought.

The fact of the matter is, Bush acted upon shoddy evidence to go through with his vendetta war. There's no doubting that the "evidence" was shitty since no other country aside from Britain seemed to believe it.
Now the shit hits the fan and you people defend the fucker. Well this is bullshit. We've lost good men over there, for no legitimate reason. "Liberating" the people of Iraq is a load of crap since we have no right to go out and "liberate" every oppressed people. If that's really the goal then why aren't we attacking Saudi Arabia now? And then North Korea? And so on...

I don't think this revelation will hurt Bush too much. Capturing Hussein sort of balances the whole equation, I think.

Why would other countries get involved? How does it benefit them? It isn't their fault that some people hate America to the point that they will kill themselves just to take down a few Americans with them. Its America's fault.The reason 9/11 happened is because the US doesn't mind its own business and thinks that its influence is needed everywhere.

Other countries are smart to stay away from this "war on terror". That way they don't have commerical airliners flying into their shit. If the US followed their example we wouldn't be in this mess.

The US got involved by supporting Israel, before 9-11 the US didn't significantly involve itself in actions except those supported by the UN. I'm sick of hearing "Well if the US minded it's own business then these terrorists wouldn't have been forced to kill thousands of innocent people." Sympathize with Islamic terrorists much? If the US hadn't involved itself in the first Persian Gulf war Iraq would most likely have taken over Saudia Arabia and a few other nations, but besides that what other significant operations has the US been involved in?

Yes, that would be the solution to the problem. Perhaps we can still trade our grain and tobacco for their trinkets and spices, but beyond that everyone should mind their own business.
