E-Reader functions for F-Zero 2

This may have been posted before, but since the search function is complete garbage, I couldn't find out.

This had better come out here. I think I'm one of 3 people who actually likes the E-Reader, and secret characters, 16 courses (!), and new challenges would fucking rule. I'd be all over this in a heartbeat.

Hmm, does anyone know if Japanese E-Reader cards are compatible with a U.S. E-Reader?

yeah whats up with F-Zero 2 not getting a release date even here yet with it being out for ages in Japan

ive played the import i like it alot more than the first one personally

i'm 99% sure that there is no region lockout on the readers, so any card will work with any reader.

edit: of course, if the american game isn't programmed to work with the japanese cards (and vice versa,) you're out of luck.

E-cards themselves are totally region protected, i.e. you can't scan JP cards for US games.

but...

I'm pretty sure you can put Japanese cards into a U.S. reader for a Japanese game, though.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I want to use the Jap. copy of F-Zero 2 and the cards on my U.S. E-Reader. If I can, then I'll be picking both up.

Has anyone cracked the ereader? Someone should crack the cards, create a PC track editor, and have the editor print barcodes to scan the track into the game. It would be cool if Nintendo did this, but then i guess they wouldnt be able to sell thier stupid cards. This could be done for many games.

I dont think people care about/like the GameCube enough to put effort into something cool like this.

is the cartoon airing in the United States?
maybe the're waiting to market the game in conjunction with the show.
