Xyanide

It's coming to Xbox too but the GBA version looks pretty decent.

Engine Software's prepping the game for a 2004 release, at least in Europe, and the team recently released new screens and a trailer of the GBA game.

The GBA game is said to be based upon an Xbox game of the same name in development. It will feature six levels of space shooter action with unique weapons control that gives the player multiple directions of firing. Xyanide will be published in Europe by Playlogic. Sorry folks in the US, no word on a stateside release.

Looks pretty good, and I'm always ready for a new shooter. Being on the GBA just makes it even better. Curious as to how the Xbox version will shape up as well, I have yet to see a decent shooter on the box.

No confirmed US release? Fuck. Thank goodness for the lack of lockouts on GBA.

I talked with them about it a bit at last year's E3, I guess 9 months gave them time to change their mind or for plans to fall through. It was basically a shooter with Robotron controls, which is perfectly fine by me.

They also said you could evolve your ship into new forms based on whether you went for the bio powerups of the mechanical ones, but that wasn't in the build I got to play with. I actually really want to see this game, even if the 5% E3 build from last year was underwhelming.
