You speak of the train scene, me thinks. I aggree. I was sitting there wishing I could see who exactly was getting punched in the face. Regardless, I am going to herald that as brilliance because I want this movie to do well in the box office. It is that good.Quote:

Just got back and I loved it. The easiest way to describe it is that it's a real life Batman. All practical effects aside from some bats and cityscapes, fan-fucking-tastic acting (I loved the guy that plays Crane), awesome soundtrack and just great everything. I know I'm gushing but it's the Batman I've wished we've had since Batman Returns. Bale was everything I think Batman is when I read the comics. There was a real human element to the movie and it just worked really well. And the plot was pretty damn cool.
Only complaints: Takes awhile to get to Batman and all the fight scenes are shot way too fucking close. If they had done the fight scenes properly (see the choregraphy and in particular the direction of Unleashed) I'd say the movie would have been perfect. Aside from one scene that was shot where I felt the confusion was necesary he beats the shit out of like 6 guys during the drug pick up on the dock it's really, really hard to tell what the fuck is going on during a fight. You get glimpses of cool shit and then there are 6 quick shots of body parts, then a flash of an explosion, 1 shot to orient yourself then 8 more quick shots of body parts flying around.
The ending was fucking awesome and if they seriously just don't do Hollywood cutting of fights it'll be even better. There won't be anymore set up to get to Batman so that takes care of any "origins" slow down.

Did the fight scenes really bug people that much? They were hard to see, but I really didn't think about it all that much until after the movie.
I've gotten 6 people today to go buy tickets immediately after I ranted and raved to them how awesome it is. Myspace bulletin get!

I saw it today, it kicked ass. Let's hope they make sequels along these lines.
Batman knows how to whoop ass. He's smart, uses gadgets where necessary and when he gets into trouble, he knows how to get out of it by cracking some skulls. I see him do it in the comics and cartoons, so I want to see him do it in the movie! The fights lose a lot on film when you can't tell what's going on because the camera and editing are too close and spastic.Quote:

I just got back, and that movie is, like Rumpy said, the Batman movie you have been waiting for since Batman Returns. Everything about it is so well done, I couldn't spot a single inconsitency throughout the whole entire film. Batman is finally back, go see this film.
The action in the film didn't really bother me at all, its all cut reletivly fast from close up angles, but it didn't take anything away from the movie. I actually found it was fitting in many of the fight scenes, and other times I didn't even notice how the action was being filmed. While not the pinicle of choreograhy and camera work in a movie by any means, the action scenes are far and away better than anything you've seen in a Batman film already.
