I don't. Maybe it isn't the pad that sucks?Quote:

Still better than the original XBox d-pad, though. What a male nipple that thing was.
Putting my $.02 into this, I think that a lot of people don't properly understand the difference between something actually being of poor quality, which would classify them as one of the worst controllers ever made, and something that they simply don't like or isn't to their tastes.
A controller that I would list as honestly sucking was the Atari 2600 controller. The stick was way too tight, the button in a bad place, that rubber part ALWAYS came off. Another controller that had suck quality to it was the N64 controller, because the analog stick broke or became loose way, way too easily.
Original Xbox controller and DC pad were bad examples of design. Overly bulky/heavy. With weird/uncomfortable shape and bad button layouts. Thank god that MS released S-pad.
Agreed. While the wacky d-pad made me bleed while unlocking all the boxes in SFEX+A (it really didn't), the Dual Shock has a great weight, a great, solid feel, excellent button placement, and the best rumble out of all the controllers ever. When you pick one up, you know the thing ain't cheap.Quote:

I hate the Dreamcast controller, and the big Xbox one. They're both far too large for me hands, and it's incredibly uncomfortable to play for more than half an hour at any game. The entire reason I'm looking to potentially blows a lot of money on a PS2 Rez is because it's literally painful to play on the DC controller.
Too big. Meh.
for all the people saying the jag controler sucked i would like a reason other than the number pad, which isnt a reason. most of the time it only operated menus and shortcuts, not actual control. oh wait.....most of the people bitching about it probably never even used one. my bad.
Actually, call me crazy, but I think different models of the controller have different weights to them. My grey JPN controller feels exactly that way, my white JPN controller feels a bit heavier and of better quality, and while my memory might be bad, my black US controller (not the original crap pad, but the US-released Japanese controller) feels even heavier.Quote:
