I guess it's just at how you look at things
XMP is odd at first, but it's pretty cool once you get used to it. I haven't been playing it because Halo PC has consumed my attention, and XMP feels a bit weird when just trying to switch over. Regardless, spend some time with it and you'll be glad you bought the game. Ignore the single-player, get it for XMP Live-play.
I agree with you that the single player part of Unreal 2 sucks hard, but the multiplayer mode of the game is great! I've been playing it for months and I really dig the team-based action. The vehicles seem to be an afterthought though. I dunno how it'll play on XBox live or anything but I'd go for the PC version because of mouse/keyboard controlQuote:

Since I don't think it was mentioned at TNL, Legend, the developer of Unreal 2 on PC has closed down.
Like has been said, Unreal 2 wasn't anything special on PC. Unreal 1 wasn't either aside from the stunning graphics engine at the time.
So basically Unreal 2 one player sucks but online might be cool if they dont fuck up the port?
yes. actually i dont think unreal 2 single player is that bad (theres much worse) and looks really great on a decent rig but it just doesnt do anything new. thats the main problem.
